AnxietyAnxiety that has not responded to other treatment.
Medicine-assisted psychotherapy for adults who are coping rather than getting better.
No cost, no obligation. The safety screening is the first step for every patient, regardless of diagnosis.
If anxiety is something you cope with rather than something that gets better.
You have likely tried medication, standard therapy, or both, and the worry, hypervigilance, or panic has not lifted the way you hoped.
Maybe you manage it well enough to function, but managing is exhausting, and it is not the same as it actually resolving.
If anxiety has become something you cope with rather than something that gets better, this may be worth exploring.
Two different jobs of work.
Managing an overactive threat response.
Standard anxiety treatment often works by helping you manage or suppress a threat-response system that has become overactive: coping strategies, avoidance planning, symptom control.
Medicine-assisted psychotherapy works differently.
It aims to loosen entrenched patterns at their root, rather than only manage them day to day.
How it works
It uses a window of neuroplasticity created by the medicine itself, paired with structured psychotherapy.
This program may be a fit if:
- You have already tried medication, standard therapy, or both for anxiety, without the relief you were hoping for
- You are an adult, eighteen or over, currently located in Ontario
- You are medically able to receive the medicine safely, and a free safety screening is how we confirm this
- You are looking for an approach aimed at real, lasting change, rather than ongoing symptom management alone
Reasons someone would not be a candidate
Some exclusions apply regardless of diagnosis. Certain medical and psychiatric histories mean this approach is not a safe or suitable choice, and that is true whatever a person has already tried.
Every one of those is reviewed individually, with you, during the free safety screening. Nothing is decided from a checklist and nothing is decided without you in the conversation.
That is exactly what the screening is for: to establish whether this is right for you before there is any cost, any commitment, or any deeper assessment. If it is not, we say so plainly, we say so early, and we tell you what we would suggest instead.
Treatment is not yet available outside Ontario, but we're actively working on ways to bring this to people wherever they are, whether that means a visit to see us, or a referral to a trusted clinic closer to home. Ask us for more. Get in touch
